Every cartoonist has their college themed student strip or something on that level. This was mine. "The Brick Life" was my first published, continuously running strip. It ran in the RIT Journalist, a student newspaper at Rochester Institute of Technology, from 1987 - 1989. A homemade book compilation of the first year of the strip sold out in the campus bookstore, and there was a 2-page spread on it in the yearbook. Characters worried about student housing, exams, parking, and of course, sobering up for the parents. But I believe I can lay claim to the only college strip in the world that featured an excursion to the Galapagos Islands (Winter, 1988) !
